Miniature 32 AWG TPU Multi-Pair Cable is a robust multiple conductor shielded cable that offers excellent dynamic bending and weathering resistance. Available in conductor pairs of 01-18 pairs per cable.
Resistance to Bending Stress TPU cable - 500,000 cycles with dynamic bending radius = 15 x Outer diameter of cable (No Contractual Values).
The pliability of a cable is directly related to the hardness of the materials used, but duration of life of a cable is connected to the strength of its components. The construction of a dynamic cable is a balance between strength, ductility and elasticity of employed materials.
Polyurethane cables are recommended for dynamic applications.
Tensile strength of PU is 45 MPa, Elongation is 600%.
To compare, if Elongation of Silicon rubber is nearly the same as PU, Tensile strength of Silicon rubber is only about 10 MPa
