Tinytag Explorer is the Windows program used to configure Tinytag loggers and view recorded data. During set up, logger names, logging intervals and alarm settings can easily be chosen. Recorded data can be shown as a graph, table of readings or summary information.
Interface cables are used for connecting the logger to a PC for programming and recovering stored data.
Listed Below are several options for purchasing the required software and interface cable for the TGU-4020 Logger. The most economical package is the (SWPK7-USB) it includes both the Explorer Software (SWCD-0040) and the Interface Cable (CAB-0007-USB).

Understanding Calibration

During calibration data loggers are compared to a reference meter that has been calibrated in a UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) approved laboratory. Data Loggers for use with a probe are calibrated with the accompanying probe. The certificate lists the value recorded by the reference meter (the temperature or humidity at which the data logger was tested), the value recorded by the data logger and the error between the two readings (the certificate will also show readings before and after any adjustment made to the unit where appropriate). In addition to the reading information, calibration certificates also list the test method and the details of the equipment used to provide traceability back to national standards.

Calibration certificates do not have a period of validity; they are simply a statement of what the unit was reading when it was tested. That said, unless the application is particularly critical or demanding, most people get their loggers calibrated annually.

Even if you don't purchase calibration certificates, we guarantee that our loggers will meet the accuracy figures specified on our datasheets at the point of purchase.

Calibration Points

Our standard calibration points, which are used unless otherwise specified, are:
• Temperature: 0 and 30°C
• Humidity: 20 and 80 % RH (at 25°C)

These points have been chosen to give good coverage for general purpose use, but should other points be required we can calibrate units within the following ranges:
• Temperature: -20 to +150 °C
• Humidity: 20 to 90 % RH (at 25°C)

The thermistor probe range includes different designs, specifications and cables to meet varied demands. The range includes products for: temperature profiling; pipework monitoring; fridge and freezer monitoring; for use in composting and even armored units for process applications. Many are waterproof and dust-proof to IP68 making them suitable for damp, dirty or submerged locations.
This logger requires an external probe. Listed below are all the available probes for the TGP-4510 Logger. Select No Thanks if you already have a probe.
The PB-5001 is a general purpose stainless steel probe which monitors Temperatures from -40°C to 125°C (-40°F to 257°F). Its molded plastic handle and connector ensure it is robust and waterproof. The probe is suitable for damp, dusty or even submerged conditions and may be used in a wide variety of applications.
The PB-5002 is a fast response stainless steel probe. It monitors Temperatures from -40°C to +125°C (-40°F to +257°F) and has a response time of 10 seconds (in water). Its molded plastic handle and connector ensure it is robust and waterproof. The probe is suitable for damp, dusty or even submerged conditions and is typically used for monitoring cooling profiles at the center of a product. Handle may become brittle below -20°C.
The PB-5003 is a surface probe which monitors Temperatures from -40°C to +125°C (-40°F to +257°F) Its adhesive sensor makes it ideal for monitoring surface temperatures of pipe work. It is also typically used for profiling of product cooling curves.
The PB-5004 is an armored probe which monitors Temperatures from -40°C to 125°C (-40°F to 257°F). Its robust stainless steel construction, with a T-bar handle and pointed tip make it suited to applications such as monitoring core temperatures of meat and other food products.
The PB-5006 features a flexible probe which monitors Temperatures from -40°C to 125°C (-40°F to 257°F). It is typically used in situations where a rigid probe is unsuitable and it is fully waterproof. It is designed for many varied applications and has been widely used for monitoring in bird nests and other zoological locations.
The PB-5007-0M025 stub probe monitors Temperatures from -40°C to 125°C (-40°F to 257°F) and is connected directly to the data logger without a cable. This compact design makes it ideal for use where space is at a premium and where a fast response time is required. The probe is fully waterproof.
The PB-5009-0M6 flying lead probe is small and highly flexible, monitoring Temperatures from -40°C to 125°C (-40°F to 257°F). It has a waterproof design and a 600mm (23.6 in.) flying lead. It is ideal for use in confined and hard to reach locations, and typically used for applications requiring a fast response time, and for pipework monitoring.
The PB-5010 compact thermistor sensor is waterproof and ideal for ambient temperature monitoring. When used with the CAB-0038-XM sensor extension cable it has a Temperature range of-40°C to +85°C (-40°F to +185°F). When connected directly to the data logger it will monitor within the logger's standard operating temperature range.
The PB-5015 is an encapsulated probe which monitors Temperatures from -40 to +105°C (-40 to +221°F) . Small, flexible and waterproof, it may be used in a wide variety of applications including fridge and air temperature monitoring.
